This Sunday the WG plays host to the annual President’s XI v Chairman’s XI Game to celebrate the season & bring together all 3 teams. 

In what could be Shaun Dryell’s last year as Chairman, his select XI will take on our very own Miles Davis’ XI to claim the John Thompson Trophy. 

John ‘Tommo’ Thompson, was a club legend & one of the finest cricketers to grace the WG & an even better person. He was also a key part of the last Downend team to win the top division. So every year we get the members together to celebrate his memory & everything he stood for when it came to the beautiful game of cricket!
